Testing FactoryTX VM¶
Some smoke tests that can be performed with the FactoryTX VM files to ensure basic functionality.
Balena Connectivity¶
[ ] When the VM is powered on, it connects to the Internet and appears as a new device in the Balena dashboard for the application.
[ ] In Balena, open a Terminal window to the Host OS and check the disk sizes (
df -h
). The /data directory should be about equivalent to the size of FactoryTX data disk.[ ] Push FactoryTX code to the VM and confirm that FactoryTX is deployed.
[ ] Enable the Public Device URL option for the device and confirm that a FactoryTX UI is displayed.
FactoryTX Process in VM¶
Using the factorytx.conf example in the Quickstart guide, configure FactoryTX to receive, transform, and transmit records to a MA service environment.
